The bike runs with modern day 250F's. Specifications are listed below. I've also attached the article from the current issue of VMX. The bike is showcased in the magazine. I reside in Pensacola, Florida. The bike has been ridden a few times. Some fine tuning is involved prior to racing.
My profile includes racing in the 1970's, walking away, and getting back into riding in 2004

Thanks for sharing your restoration with us,Steve!! Congratulations in getting your bike featured in VMX Magazine!!
· Purchased a 2003 CR125 had fun with it and caught the vintage bug
· Current staring my second project - 1976 YZ175C - took a functional motorcycle down to the frame and starting another ground up restoration
· Selected the 1980 YZ125G because of its uniqueness
· Production bike with a works performance profile
· Best 125 pre-water-cooled model ever manufactured
· OW Replica - yes this was the direct intent - not sure how close we came
· Build a high-performance well-suspended bike, and pay close attention to the detail
· There are many invested man-hours in custom fabrication/fitting
· I'm working on a listing of performance modifications, suppliers and their value add in the final product
· The bike looks great, but hasn't been started/ridden since the restoration - so the results are not completely in on the satisfaction level
· The bike is a looker for now, but the intent is to enjoy it and ride/race
Regards,
Steve
