What a great racing day! The weather was great & the track awesome. Thanks to all that showed to come and just have a place to ride and just have fun...........
Can you believe the awards ceremony with all the trophies?!!!
And, of course Bob Leach & his staff kept everything so organized and smooth running.... What an awesome track! So well groomed & watered. Bob has a huge equipment factor! That watering truck was huge-some airport watering thing. He even watered the roads around the pits.
Next event is July 26th,2009. Great camping & RV hook-ups. Even had a food concession booth. August & September dates are subject to change so call the guys @ the track or email us..
Bob Leach is having an in-door vintage motorcross series again in Salem this coming Fall & Winter. Not sure if it will be retro-cross... I'm sure it might be the same set-up he has going on now. Will get the info from Bob in August and post the series information.
When you are back @ work- these are the memories to think about that keeps a smile on your face and a good feeling you have a place to ride right off the I-5.........And, the prices to ride and camp is reasonable and affordable..
A perspective from a female spectator. Was nice to walk around the pits & see everyone enjoying themselves with their family & friends... That is what it is all about.
Oh, there even was a Pee-Wee Class with a very young female rider. It was great to watch her talent & endurance with her family running with her!! I'll have to get her name! I was so caught up in waving her on-I forgot to film her!!!
I filmed some moto's & will post those as soon as I figure out this new camcorder!
A beamimg Ray Metcalf & his trophy with his dog's boxer butt facing the camera. Oh, and of course, how could I forget to mention what a awesome looking bike that he restored!! Oh, and what a awesome trophy! Sorry, Nobby about your knuckle!
